Patient Participation Group About Us
In 2010 Lime Tree Surgery Patients’ Group celebrates 20 years of consistent activity in providing Health Awareness and fundraising events, receiving donations, and maintaining a direct involvement of health developments both locally and nationally, that could impact on local Primary Care service.
We ensure that where funds are used for the purchase of medical equipment or services, the provision is local for the benefit of the Surgery’s patients, and we do not ‘subsidise’ funds that would normally be sourced through NHS channels.
The Patients’ Group is a Registered Charity, no. 1053830, and is an active member of both the National Association for Patient Participation, and the Worthing Area Patient Groups’ Forum. We help and encourage the formation of patient groups at other local GP surgeries.
We have a managing committee that meets six or more times each year, and a public Annual General Meeting, normally held in May each year, with local publicity in advance.
All patients of Lime Tree Surgery are automatically members of the Patients’ Group, there is no formal membership register.
